Well my current people carrier is soon to be sold, and I'm planning to go down the road of having a practical family car for every day, and something special to actually make driving fun again. I've narrowed the options for the fun car down to either an EP3 generation Honda Civic Type R or an E46 BMW 330i Sport coupe. Just can't decide which!
The Civic is something I've regretted selling, ever since I sold my one about 9 years ago. Silly quick point to point car with amazing handling, but the downsides are it's not great long distance as the seats are damn hard, plus air con is optional and a bit of a bugger to track one down with it (and yes, air con is essential in my book!).
As for the BMW, well I've missed not having a Beemer since selling my last 5 series, it's right wheel drive, bloody fast and I've always wanted one but never owned one. Better specced than the Civic as air con, cruise, electric leather seats and parking sensors are all standard. Downsides, well I've never actually owned a car with a boot before (only hatches or estates) so I don't know how I'll get on with that, plus I get very wound up driving cars without a rear wiper. But hopefully as a 2nd car that won't be too much of an issue. Plus I've not driven one yet, though I've driven 330 estates so know they go & handle well, so the coupe can only be better, right?
I know either car will be awesome fun, just can't decide which to go for. So yeah, any thoughts to help sway me?
Bimmer. Mostly because I abhor Hondas other than the S2000. Also Bimmer is much sexier than that Civic lol but from a practical standpoint it seems like the BMW would provide you with more fun. But the cost difference has to be pretty significant right?
