I was talking to a guy that my wife knows, some kind of car dealer supplier, about a 2001 BMW 325i that has been sitting for sale for a pretty long time, any who he said that he checked it out earlier, and that he plugged it in to his machine, and said that there was a short in the ECU. He also said that it cost some outrageous price to fix, like $3,000, and it would need to be sent out to be reprogrammed. Is his cost accurate, or is he full of shit?
