    NCD: 2004 350z

For the first time since 1991, I no longer drive an Acura.

My 2005 RL was at 119k and with every part of it original save two headlight bulbs it was waaaay overdue for wallet eating part replacement fun. Rather than throw money at that I figured it was time to look for a good commuter. I was looking at used Impalas, a Buick Lacrosse, and almost test drove a 2010 BMW 128i until they posted up a 2004 350z with only 25,500 miles and a perfect carfax.

The car was mint and drove great so this:

    Became this:

They wanted 17,333 and I was able to hagggle them down a bit and got 8 grand for my Acura, which is not bad for a 10 year old car with about 120k on the odometer. I also talked them down from $2300 to 1300 for a 3 year 36k bumper to bumper warranty with rental so for a small loan I just picked up 3 years of fun with no nasty repair bills. The seats are hard as rocks and the stereo absolutely sucks but at least I will look good while experiencing lower back pain and poor audio.

The wife is not thrilled for obvious reasons, but I don't have to sleep in the spare bedroom since I work nights and sleep while she is at work.

    Congrats dude! Be safe
The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No. ― Alan Moore

Sweet ride, Tom! I always liked the clean lines of this generation before they started getting all busy again.

I thought the cabin was pretty comfortable in those the last time I got in one. I absolutely hate the steering wheel though OMG it's terrible.
