I have been using the same old youtube back tracks to practice my improv playing (trust me it needs A LOT of practice) haha.

Here is one that i really dig: YouTube - E Flat Backing Track - Eb Minor

I remember years ago when i took guitar lessons from one Jazz instructor he had some cool software that let him pick a key and some chords and created a backing track for him.

Any ideas of what type of software is out there that does this, and what the best one might be?

Thanks gang :yesway:

its funny that a guitar teacher recommended that to you because my dad bought a copy in '97-'98ish based on a recommendation from his guitar teacher

While I seem to be in the minority I always preferred Jammer over BIAB. I always found the interface a little more clean and also found the diversity in "players" to be better.

I used to load youtube and practice with backing tracks, but than I wanted to have more control over it,so now I use a chord sequencer called Chord Pad,it lets you create backing tracks and than adjust tempo, key, instruments and it has 300+ styles which sound very good:

Bumping a 15-month-old topic with your first post to plug a youtube video and software?

If somehow you're NOT spamming the boards and you actually intend to continue posting here as a normal member, PM me and I'll unban you. :wavey:
