Apple - Trailers - G.I. JOE - large (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/gijoeriseofcobra/large.html)

Holy shit. I bet it will be short on plot, long on explosions and special effects. Fine with me!

hey, it LOOKS cool in the trailer. it seems ever since spiderman broke the comic book movies into the main stream, movie companies are realizing that if they put good writers and directers on the project, they make tons of money. Example - look at the original batman(not 1 but 2,3, and 4), they were jokes, NOW that spiderman broke the barrier imo, they dumped money into x-men and batman and hellboy ect.. and are making a killing

Interesting. It's either going to be really awesome or really crappy.

That's pretty much what I thought.

It's got a high chance of being "fun," though.

Produced by the same guy as the transformers flicks though. Ray Park as Snake Eyes FTMFW.

I was HUGE into GI Joes when I was a kid. I had like 75 to 100 of them, quite the collection. I used to love the cartoon too. In Japan, they had the cartoon as well, but in Japanese, hilarious. This is going to kick ass. :metal:

Eh, it has the ghetto-cheesy danceboy actor in it, so I'm sure it will have some terrible acting and lots of pointless, unenthusiastic drama scenes.

Effects will probably be cool, though.

Note to Jeff - there is no such thing as "win sauce," and if there was you wouldn't pour it onto a movie to make it better.

Could you possibly be thinking of "wing" sauce?

Drew,

Jeff's "win sauce" is far more real then your "album".

Eric

Eric,

I will kill you. I will then douse your carcass and barbecue sauce and fire up the grill. What would be more real then, I wonder?

Best,

Hmm, I doubt I'll pay to see this...however, if I buy a cinema pass I might as well give it a viewing :D

Your iPod is not my iPod though, or anybody else's for that matter.

... And like any generic Hollywood action-packed movies. If people wouldn't know it's the GI Joes, would they care?

I'll see it. I don't like going into iffy things with expectations.

Actually, there is. You can't always see it, but it is behind anything that's great in the world.

I was so happy the day I found Chipotle Tabasco in Shopper's Food Warehouse. Until then, you could only find it at a Chipotle.

i'm imagining some sort of Indiana Jones title:

GI Joe and The Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell Policy
or
GI Joe and The Raiders of Brokeback Mountain

That stuff tastes like dirt to me. To each his own I guess.

I don't think I'll be seeing this unless my roomate picks it up on blu-ray when it comes out.

Just watched, and while there were a few good bits that made me jump like only a 5-year old on Saturday morning can, this movie was riddled with fail.

Honestly, it was better than Transformers 2. At least I had fun, instead of constantly cringing.
