FYI, anyone following me, skip this - at least in Audiobook form.

Death in the City of Light: The Serial Killer of Nazi-Occupied Paris by David King - Reviews, Discussion, Bookclubs, Lists

I got about 6 hours in and just couldn't take it anymore. It's like listening to someone read Wikipedia articles, with half a page of plot ever 2 hours.

ITT: empirical proof Chris reads more than the rest of the site put together.

I'll try to catch you after June 1st, bro. And I already checked, Goodreads doesn't recognize the CFA curriculum bar codes.

Nah, I read a ton; I just don't log it all on Goodreads. Reading is about all I do besides watching long-form television, cooking, and playing guitar.

I can't sleep at night unless I read for a few hours, and I have a really long commute. That, plus the fact that I read as fast as I talk, and they definitely add up. I've probably done between 40-50 books a year since college.

I was an English major right out of high school, but switched to CS because I didn't want to eat Ramen Noodles forever. It's a shame, every once in a while I think that either being a lit professor or a Librarian would have been a seriously rewarding, ass-kicker of a career path. The professor angle was more education than I could afford and still nowhere near enough pay, and being a librarian - well, again, Ramen Noodles. :\

My OCD loves graphs and progress charts and shit. Goodreads is like crack for people like me.

I wish my Runkeeper 10k Progress app on my iPhone was paid even 1/10th the amount of attention that my GR page is.

Haha, I'm like that in some areas, just not reading. Like I said, I'm not really using Goodreads for its intended purposes. I mainly just use it to make sure I don't buy physical books I already own.

Also, I am kicking ass on the first reading challenge.
