And for the longest time I thought you had played Witcher 3 and hated the controls and I thought "Man, you're totally insane." But it turns out you were playing Witcher 1, even though everyone (including myself) had said "Don't play it. It has some of the worst controls in a PC RPG. Just go straight to The Witcher 3." (although The Witcher 2 is pretty awesome too, just nowhere remotely as amazing as The Witcher 3).

You know you should just buy and play it and not get hung up on not having played the previous 2 games. Most people who have played them have never read the novels, even though the first game takes place after the 7th novel, I believe.

Yeah, Witcher 1 and 3 are far and away completely different games from each other. You really don't need a whole lot of context for the story since at the beginning of the game your memory is essentially wiped and you get to recollect everything as Geralt does more or less. People who have played the games previously might get some more of the details quicker but you definitely aren't missing anything, and for as much game as you get with Witcher 3 its worth a try or pickup when its on sale which has been happening more and more frequently.

    Not really.

Have you played Horizon Zero Dawn? It's fantastic.

PC gaming on my end, unfortunately.

I've only got a few hours in on Borderlands 2 so I guess it's time to dust that off until the next thing comes around.
