    New Laptop...

Got tired of my MSI laptop overheating and just sucking in general. Started looking, and the prices for the 2015 Macbook Pro's weren't too bad. Looking around, I found a 256gb i5 model for $450 and jumped on it. Should be able to sell my MSI for more than that.

I have a gaming desktop that can handle all my CAD stuff, but this one should handle Rhino pretty well. So far so good, it runs great, it's in great condition.

I'm really liking this thing. I've set up Bootcamp so I can get my CAD/CAM on without slowdown, but use MacOS the rest of the time. I really appreciate the size and touchpad. The screen is gorgeous, best screen I've ever had on a laptop.

The longevity of Macbooks is just unreal. I'm still using a 2008 I upgraded to an SSD and maxed the RAM out on, and other than the restrictions on what OS it'll run, I have no complaints about it's functionality at all. I've had HP, Dell and Lenovo laptops several years newer that all develop hardware issues (dead batteries, non-working fans, dying RAM, dying screens, dying touchpads) and this thing still runs like a champ.

I have a 2010 MacBook, and the battery life is ~45 minutes. Other than that, it works great!

Actually that's another thing I'm impressed with. This one had 217 cycles on the battery, still gets 6-7hrs pretty easily. My MSI with an i7 wouldn't get much more than an hour on the lowest performance settings. Hunk of junk.
