That dude makes Tom Morello look like a chump at the unconventional sounds from a guitar game.

    This guy is pretty ridiculous.
The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.

Me too. I'm a big country guy, and I love metal, seems like he should be my favorite guitar player, but I can only listen to him in small doses. I love his take on Sugar Foot Rag though.

He's also one of those people that gives me really bad Tele GAS, even though Fender didn't make the perfect guitar until 5 years later.

I still think it's crazy that he used to play in Marilyn Manson, his talents were wasted for the time he was in that band.
I play Suhrs, not poor people guitars. -Chris

Well, in fairness, a decent amount of his appeal is being a pretty humble/down-to-earth kinda guy. Likewise, he's somebody that puts showmanship and performance (hence the makeup and all that) up there alongside shredding.

So for me, I especially like John 5 as a package deal. He seems to really like doing throwback style tunes on his solo material (lots of country/western, some surf rock, some 80s), but I'd love to see him write something using his full palette of influences.
