    The feel of a tune is what does it for me. Shit, some Zeppelin tunes I listen to now I consider heavy as fuck, like "What Is And Should Never Be" when it kicks in with that distorted guitar part doing the walk-down with the half-time drums, THAT is heavy to me. Really, almost anything with a 1/2 time rhythm on the drums makes me want to trash around.

    Then you've got a band like AIC who is in a whole different realm of heavy to me, it's everything from the guitar tones, the drums, the mood...take "Grind" for example, every instrument and vocal line is pretty laid back, but this song is HEAVY.



    And Floyd, so much of The Wall and The Final Cut are heavy to me for the same reasons. So mood, I suppose.
