Reign of Fury - Proggy Thrash

I just found out about these guys when this cd released. It is some really good stuff. Real long songs, some great playing.

I’m digging the music but on the fence about the vocalist

really awesome music, The vocalist isn't terrible just feels like his style doesn't suit the music well.
I play Suhrs, not poor people guitars. -Chris

I hear a lot of Schaffer worship in the guitars, and 80s Hetfield in the vocals. I like it.

Yeah, I see that now that you point it out. It was on the tip of my tongue. A lot of Maiden in the guitars, too.

Their ex-manager is the guy I was referrring to in this thread. Played quite a few shows with these guys and my take was the same, the vocals didn't stand up to what else was going on. The manager did such a great job with elevating their status that some members started to believe their own hype a little too much, they ended up alienating him and when he stepped away, they very quickly disappeared again.
