It's not my favorite Megadeth track or their heaviest one but the combination of lyrical imagery, riff centric guitars, Menza's drumming, and absolutely brilliant solos is what defines metal for me. Also the production on that album provides everything you can want from a metal album, especially if played thru the type of home stereo that was popular at the time.

    This isn't even close to my favorite song by Black Sabbath, but it is the quintessential metal template. Tri-tone riff, dark lyrics, huge sounding guitars. That was the song that changed the band (in name and style), and the music world, forever.

    Yeah, he was a cool guy. He had a 27 fret LACS Xiphos before they were officially out, then he moved to Suhr. He's also an insanely talented artist. Had a Soldano I think Avenger or HR that he handpainted like a treasure map and the market was way down, I think it sold for <$700.
