And Livecrime by association the best live concept album performance.

Fantastic album, fo'sho. Shame they retired one album later and definitely didn't release a bunch of clams with band drama galore.

    Spoiler
King Diamond's The Eye is the best concept album, though. WASP/The Crimson Idol is better than Mindcrime too.

They retired after Mindcrime. And Geoff Tate died before he could become an embarrassment. Empire has one good song on it (Jet City Woman), I don't know how people can hate on the black album but love Empire.

The Eye is the best KD album for sure. Not a huge fan of Crimson Idol, The Headless Children is the best WASP album, followed closely by the debut.

Chemical Wedding is also as good as Seventh Son and Mindcrime.

As much as I love Seventh Son, it still is just a maiden album with songs that are only really tied together with lyrics.

Dream Theater's spent the last 30 years trying to write Operation Mindcrime and failing.
