    Also note that I don't think BrOla has his tone EQ'd the same way, as the recorded Gojira tones are competing for space with drums, bass, and vocals.

    I did too, I think a lot of us did. That's ok, I think James Hetfield still does this. Seems to work ok for him!

    I used to think Ola's tone is always fantastic no matter what he plays through what, but then I saw a couple videos in his "Does it chug?" series and realized that's not the case (though no fault of his own, since he's sometimes playing through a $30 microscopic amp or through something else that even Ola can't save).
