A pretty large scale project from the bassist. Considering his track record (Aristocrats, Dethklok, Satch, Vai, Dweezil Zappa and a ton of others), the list of guest performers and producers is quite impressive. Having Forrester Savell on board makes me warm inside.

This track revealed has some tasty and restrained playing from Satch.

Gene Hoglan and Mike Dawes on the same track, interesting.

He's built a career through session gigs but he's mostly know for being the bassist of Dethklok and The Aristocrats.

That first track totally kicks ass. Best thing I've heard from Satch in ages too, didn't even have to read the notes to immediately know it was him playing.

Not a huge fan of the second track but I love that massive hall reverb they have on the rhythms.

    Excited to check this out!

Always dug his playing and he seems like a pretty cool dude. I used to read his blogs all the time for any additional Vai stories I could get my eyes on. Saw him with Dethklok when they were opening for Mastodon on the Crack The Skye tour, that was an AWESOME show.

First track is awesome - great peice and mood, great playing from Satriani, the chorused tone reminds me a lot of some of his Time Machine era stuff.

The Storm is pretty cool, too. I'm curious to hear the rest of this album.
