It's interesting to hear on an artist who's voice you are familiar with how heavy the processing is on modern vocals.

Ozzy's command of pitch hasn't been that vaguely proficient since.....ever, and they process the vibrato in.

That was inferred when I used the approximately synonymous phrase, "popular contemporary artists". It's a more polite and politically correct way of saying it.

If you use the phrase "complete garbage" someone will be like,

"YOU THINK THIS MUSIC IS LESS VALID THAN SPEED METAL? THIS IS A TOUCHSTONE WORK OF ART SPEAKING TO URBAN DISILLUSIONMENT THROUGH THE METAPHORS OF MODERN AMERICA."

You can't go around calling other genres shit as a metal fan in today's climate, it's viewed as discrimination. If I went around insulting soundcloud rap someone would be like, "WHO ARE YOU TO SAY SOMEONE MUMBLING ABOUT XANAX DOESN'T CAPTURE THE ZEITGEIST OF THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY?"

So you can get around that by using the phrase, "Popular Contemporary Artists".
