    New Marc Bonilla album!

Jude Gold's No Guitar Is Safe podcast featured Marc Bonilla just after we mentioned him on here:

    https://www.metalguitarist.org/forum...hlight=bonilla

    https://soundcloud.com/guitar-player...e/marc-bonilla

    And there it is:

25 years later! Initial impressions (audio inserts on NGIS) very favourable, I'll have to get a copy.

I bought EE Ticket when it turned up randomly at a secondhand CD fair shortly after I'd read Marty Friedman praising a cut from it in the "In The Listening Room" column of Guitar For The Practicing Musician. If Friedman thought Bonilla was good, I figured I'd better check him out... Great player, cool and different album.

Bonilla now has an extensive website I'd no idea about, just check out his "superheroes" guitar:

I'm amazed that he's not a Floyd user given how much he plays with the wangbar.

Looks like a Wilkinson VS100. Those things rule, and are very Floyd-like. Though, looks like he's got a custom trem bar in there? That thing looks arrow-straight, with no bend at all.

    Very cool!

I didn't like American Matador as much as the first album, but EE Ticket was great. Kevin Gilbert's production and keyboards added a quirky touch that the later album lacked.

At first I thought it was just the perspective, but all the wangers on his site do indeed look very straight.
