Matt from Matt's Music has passed away.

Saw this thread saying he'd passed away. He was obviously active here and a few guys had bought from him. Anyone can verify?

Aw man no way. He was such a good dude and a fantastic guitar player as well.

I bought two Suhrs and a Mark V off of him and shot the shit with him a bunch. He was a really chill, genuine guy.

Yeah, I'd heard nothing but great things about him and his shop. Fantastic taste in gear and was always insanely nice when he'd post on here.

Sad news. I had never dealt with him but always heard great things.

I heard this too over the holidays. Damn - he wasn't that old, was a really genuine guy and ran an amazing shop. I'm really sorry to hear this.

Was he the guy with long hair? Every time I went into Matt's Music that was the only guy I saw. I used to live 5 minutes up the street from the shop.

Bummer, man. Years before I even moved to Rockland, I used to see their banner on Jemsite all the time.

He was a fixture at JCF before here, the guy Ed Roman wished he could be, and someone I was hoping to meet one day. Such a loss.
