    No go for me.

This is comparable to Killswitch re-recording End Of Heartache with less effort.

I dropped off after Soundtrack To Your Escape. I loved the shit out of that album and the ones that came before it, but after it just felt to me like they were churning out watered down versions of Come Clarity/Soundtrack.
Perfection is the enemy of progress.

Clayman is at least like, 25-30 BPM slower per song than their best stuff. It's the quintessential "trying to appeal to a broader audience by making things more mid tempo point in our career" type album.
Man I'm just so on the other end of the spectrum. I find their music in the 90s just not my cup of tea at all. Clayman through Sounds of a Playground Fading for me, any day.

I listened to whoracle again and it's not that awful with my KRKs but they are pretty V scooped lol. Not amazing though their newer stuff is better imo.

So much of this melodeath stuff has not aged well for me at all. I remember popping in Whoreacle and Predator's Portrait a few years back, and wondering why I ever cared to begin with.

    So live for today,
    Tomorrow never comes.
    Die young, die young,
Can't you see the writing in the air?
    Die young, gonna die young,
    Someone stopped the fair.
