    Anyway, Lynch, at his zenith, was stellar IMHO. Definitely my favorite ever. A phrasing that is his very own.
    Granted, that was a long time ago and it's really important to put things back into context. You can't really judge him by his playing these days and how it compares to actual players.

    There are plenty of guys who can play circles around Lynch based on pure technique, but he's one of those rare guys where it only takes a few notes to know it's him. He has such a unique, distinctive touch on the instrument.
