    (Sorta) New Mr. Bungle!

Written back in the day but finally seeing the light of day. Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo on this AFAIK

NSFW warning for some violent newsreel and random weirdness:

Amazingly horrifying plane footage. Mediocre song at best.

For a Mr Bungle song, this sounds rather pedestrian.

The song dates back to their first demo, which probably has a lot to do with it. They were a lot more thrash influenced at the time, which lines up.

The new stuff definitely has more of an SOD vibe than the avante garde Bungle sound but I think it works out pretty alright. Granted I don't think you could make Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo sound like the old Bungle regardless but more output from Patton is never a bad thing in my book. I'd like to see this lineup play some stuff from their self titled record just to see how they would work it out.

They probably weren’t much older than this when they wrote it. Ya figure, Patton was 19 when he joined FNM.

Perfection is the enemy of progress.

I realised it after my post that all the 'new' stuff was from their first demo. Which was well before their evolution to weirdness. I still liked it along with their straightforward metal stuff like My Ass Is On Fire and Everyone I Went To High School With Is Dead.
