    [Go] F**k Yourself

Posting here because I know at least JacksonPlayer will get this.

Been on a bit of a Vai-binge and I forgot how often he shows his Zappa roots. "F**k Yourself" is a good example.

Plus, you gotta love a guy that re-releases 6 CD's of albums/tracks with the guitar tracks removed and liner notes discussing key, performance notes, etc.
The Ultimate Question: What string gauge is needed for 18.84# of tension when tuned to E2 on a 27" scale guitar?

Satriani did this recently, too. Pretty cool.

Vai's more Zappa-esque moments have been his most interesting music for a long time. Guitar shred only gets you so far.

    Speaking of Vai covering Satch...

I've been following the Satriani Stripped X Three releases closely, and it's great that he's getting people to take great liberties jamming over his tracks. Though admittedly not all of them work for me, with Vai, Lari Basilio and Bumblefoot being thew few standouts.
