Song is boring, solo is decent, Weiland sounds generic as hell. I don't like it.

man, scott did a LOT worse to himself than layne did. Cornell did it too, worse than layne IMO, but not as bad as this. I saw them on the reunion tour and just GODDAMN. way worse than when they broke up even. Its a bummer, cause he honestly, soundwise at least, was always on my top 3 favourite vocalists list, since i got into music
Ever since this album was announced. I kept thinking the same thing over and over again:
"Why, Why, Why, didn't you get Brendan O'Brien back to produce???"
As much as I like the DeLeo's songwriting (for the most part). IMHO, O'Brien's production was such a key factor to STP's material.
Maybe he just got sick of dealing with Weiland after the last VR album? From what I'm reading, Scott wasn't around for either the songwriting or the recording sessions. They just flew over the tracks for him to lay down vocals at his home studio.
Meh track. Although it's good to hear Rob's slinky basslines. Still one of my favorite bassists from the 90's.

Heard this on the radio, the song's decent, but Weiland's contributions just annoy me. Lyrics are annoying, vocals sound like he's trying to be The Beatles.
Makes me wish they'd stuck with Army of Anyone, that was one solid album:

(killer chorus, and the drumming on the last chorus slays me every time)
This one's sweet too:

Tomorrow never comes.
Die young, die young,
Can't you see the writing in the air?
Die young, gonna die young,
Someone stopped the fair.
