    Incoming Kartakou Collosus

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tqP91wepUQk

    Just ordered a Kartakou Collosus.
Pretty hyped to get it. I've been missing my 6505+. I think this will scratch that itch. The clean channel on the Collosus sounds pretty killer too.

Sounds pretty cool, but why not just grab a 5150/6505?
I'm so metal I shit bats

I have a rack setup ready for it, and I prefer the cleans of this preamp. It was also only $370 shipped.

It finally showed up. Gain channel wasn't working at first. It turned out to be some loose tubes from shipping. Build quality is excellent. It uses momentary relays for channel switching, so I can't use my G Major 2 to switch channels. Luckily had a Voodoo Lab Control Switcher to deal with that. Only got to play it at low volume, but it sounds on par with the 6505+ I used to have. Can't wait to crank it up.

    Awesome.

I really want to try the ENGL preamp they have in pedal format as well. I wonder if they'd manage to cramp this one into a pedal considering it has three tubes on it.

I saw one of these pop up on Reverb, but recoiled because it was in a maybe-I'll-get-it-maybe-I-won't part of the world

    That good, eh? HMM.
