    I think if price were no object and I were going for tight and brutal I'd get a Peavey 5150/6505.

    The Herbert is brutal AF but it sounds massive - think early Korn style tones. Not what you are after if you want tight.

    I have no experience with the Satan but i can imagine its control layout giving you the tightness you are after. However - the real answer for tight brutality is Mesa Mk IV/V/Petrucci or Fryette UL

    It's very often that 5150ties and EVH, Mesa gear is recommended here on this forum.
    One of the reason must be it is an USA based forum and EU amps are not that available in the us.
    A'm i wrong?

    THe 5150 / 6505 clean channel is not of my taste. Clean os also important to me.

    Nah, like half our active members are from across the pond. 5150s, Marks and Rectos are just great amps.
