So, the presets already in here are cool. The ones Sir Q sent along are badass. The ones I write are complete garbage

There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to dialing in tones. I've had my III for about a month now and I'm just now starting to dig what I come up with. I would definitely head to the Axe Exchange and download a bunch that sound interesting, then out of those, pick your favorites and see how they were made.

I've found that 90% of user presets I download sound like ass with my guitar/set up, but every now and then one pops up and I'm like, "Oh shit! THIS is why I bought this thing!".

Are you using it direct to monitors or going through a power amp and a cab?

Either way, have fun and welcome to the family!

OK, I've got a decent one going (Savage 2), with some scenes. I'm going right into my 2:90, into a cab, so I've got the global cabs turned off, and the power amp thing to what it needs to be

Now, to figure out this MFC business!...

That's the next step, to set something up for my other band. Though, I really like using my actual amp for that one. But, we'll see
