Besides, everyone knows all you need for a djent mix test is AxeFX/Superior Drummer/Reaper/pirated plugins for a good tone.

For me, this thing is basically a new & improved 6505mh, which is why I GAS for one. The fact that Chris scrubbed the data files of his reference to #OverPricedDjentBox just sweetens the deal.

I'll be the old fart for you then. I think direct recording is dumb because it defeats the purpose of using a tube amp over modeler anyway. If you're using a tube amp to record, you better by micing a 412, otherwise you're still just bottlenecking it through digital processing.

I agree with that but to many like me it has 0 to do with recording as much as being able to go straight to a mixer when going to a jam. I always used to get at least 1 PA channel for a mic, with these new amps I can just run a cable. I have 0 recording plans and I think there are a few in the same boat though we're a vanishing breed.

I'll disagree with that. I prefer running a tube amp into a Captor X moreso than any modeler I've played. It all comes down to where you choose to draw the line as to when it's converted, because ultimately we're all going into a digital box anyway. However, I will agree that miking will almost always sound better.

Very much agreed, I have the afx2 and two notes is massively superior when you use a real amp especially in feel.
