    Probably very useful for self-defence as it weighed a ton. I remember it having a switching relay but maybe not.

    Oh dear, you couldn't go near this thing without a huge explosion from the 'Real spring reverb'

    I owned an original Zoom 505. This may explain why I've never wanted a multi-effects unit since.

    so almost universally everyone had a korg product that just sounded the worst?

    I remember saving up for a Korg PandoraBox thinking it was the cat's ass after demoing it in store for 2 minutes, and it was great for a while, then I heard actual tone and all I could hear were sad trombone coming for the box after that. I think I paid over $300 for that thing.
