Sperzel pins aren't in the same spot as any other tuners. You'll need the drill.

They also have a crappy 12:1 ratio, far prefer Hipshot.

Disagree. Installed easily, no pins, didn't need the drill either. There are two small burrs that wedge into the guitar when you tighten it. You just need to make sure it lines up perfectly with the other tuning pegs before tightening. Mine installed perfectly in under 30 minutes.

I absolutely LOVE the look of the nickel posts on the black tuning pegs.

Interesting. I didn't know they offered them without the pin. Btw, looks fucking awesome with the hardware color change!

Thanks Donnie! I can't wait to see the guitar when the renovation is complete. I'm just waiting for the hipshot bridge to replace the Ibanez Gibraltar. I actually like the Gibraltar, but have grown to hate the brass hardware.

Guess they changed the design since I last ordered. Been a long time, as I'm a Hipshot man now. I will say, those burrs don't look like a good solution if you ever bump your tuner.

Just put Gotoh lockers on my bottom bitch (drilling was a bit of an anxiety inducer, mind you), but they're awesome and will save me some hassle. Fuck, I hate restringing.
