Saw this dirt cheap, and I've missed out on a few lawsuit Ibanez models of late. I didn't want to let this one pass.

So I've got one of these coming-ibanezlp-jpeg

This 2350CS is going to the tech for a good refurbishing, but I'm thinking of some mods. Currently it's got a Duncan 59/Custom combo (the older DC label kind, whatever that means), but I may be going for a Jazz/Aldrich in gold depending on my mood. Maybe even a black pickguard or something...

Not sure honestly. The guitar sounded amazing right off the bat (sans worn setup), but the current duncans may be too dark for this guitar.
I've also got versatility in mind, and of course aesthetics come to play. So I'm open to some suggestions.

Does the Aldrich pair well with the Jazz?
Disclaimer: I work ultra part-time for a local music gear dealer. And as a male plus-sized model for mankinis.

Isn't the Aldrich bridge just a refined JB? I'm totally cool with that. I've had the 59/JB on my old Epi LP forever now so I'm sort of used to it.

Man, totally jealous. Those things smoke.

If it’s a darker guitar, an Aldrich will slay in it. It turns brighter guitars into icepicks, though.

Ah that's right. So I guess it will be good.

Good to know. My mahogany Warmoth is a bit dark, so perhaps I'll try that there.

Oh God don't put a pick guard on that thing. Do anything you else you want but for the love of all things holy don't put a pick guard on it.

When I finally feel like going after that Birth Year guitar, it will be a lawsuit Ibanez.

    That looks amazing!
