    I assumed they meant maple neck, not maple fretboard. My ‘80 LPC has a maple rather than mahogany neck with an ebony board.

    I'd buy a black LP with a markerless maple or ebony board. I'd probably go for the one Flex posted too, if it didn't have those awful inlays.
