You're probably right. I really can't dig on mahogany as a neck. That being said, my buds 80's Les Paul is still one of the most beastly guitars I've heard.

When a lot of people say that don't like basswood, it's probably based on playing an Ibanez RG. With those paper-thin necks, there's not enough edge to their sound. Other basswood guitars I've played with bigger necks sound great.

I still can't sweep pick. You said you'd show me the way and then you brobandoned me.

    I'm glad you're back.

That thing looks like it plays like a dream! I'm generally not a reverse headstock guy, but I really, really dig the look of that!

And for fuck's sake, I've got 10 years on Angel in playing time and I can't play 1/16th of the way he does!

To be honest, all of these Charvels showing up - including the Angel sig - have given me gas for a ProMod. If the neck is close to a Fender modern C, I can deal with that. If it's Wizard thin, I can't.

But that signature model is really classy-looking. Grats.

Maybe later this year, I'll look into Charvel.

If the neck on those DK24's is like the SoCal/San Dimas then its not wizard thin at all.

Its Thicker than a Wizard, Thinner than a Fender MIM and the American Pro, slightly Thinner than the Jackson SDX (Adrian Smith) that is very very similar and even interchangeable. Also Thinner than the EVH Stripped MIM. Sorry I cant compare with US Charvels, never had one in my hands.

Its a very very comfortable Neck.
