Plays pretty well. It feels similar to the RG7EXFX2 I sold, but that's probably partially because they're both 27" scale sevens. The action is lower than it was on my RG7EXFX2, though, and there's no buzzing anywhere, so that's nice.

I haven't bought anything to play it through yet, but when I played it at the store, it sounded really nice clean. The coil tap sounds nice too, though I prefer the regular non-coiltapped sound.

That's my experience with every coil tapped guitar ever.

Yep. I have one guitar with it, and I never use it. I have a tele . I used to consider it a somewhat important future, but not anymore.

I've used it sparingly in clean parts in studio recordings in the past, but never live. And I'm sure the same will be true from now on. I MIGHT use it in this short 5-10 second part in a recording, but never live. And even if I do use it in a recording, it'll be extremely rare.

It's fun to mess around with, though. When I was 17, my uncle lent me his Gibson Les Paul Custom II that had coil tapping on it (by pulling out the tone knob, I think it was), and it was fun to mess with back then too. But even then, it wasn't something I used often.

these look nice, Im not sure you can get them over here as there is one with a non reverse HS and standard 25.5 scale in the same finish, also looks like a nice guitar but yours is far cooler with the revers HS
