The GP-10 does the GR-300 thing as well, and it’s really cool. Basically one half of a VG-99.

That's a great looking 505 Those were made by Fuji-Gen I believe, as were all the other Roland guitars.

Yep, I remember a lot of guys playing them, too. I believe Rothery from Marillion used his up until 1989 or so.

I had one of those drunken Steinberger looking Ibanezes back in the day, which was actually a great playing guitar. But I eventually thought playing actual keys and guitar was cooler than playing keys on guitar lol

    Alright, fine.

Doing that did give me an excuse to do some pickup height testing. I had to be fine in getting it right as was losing some sustain if it was even a smidgen too far from the string. So far so good. And I'm guessing my jumper sleeve may have helped with muting unwanted noise in that vid. I also put it through a Bigsky on the bloom setting trying to emulate the breathing.

I'm the same. I mean, I did do a concert doing guitar AND keys simultaneously. And the guitar was split with 2 additional signals for SY300 synth and a piezo.

For the most part I find Guitar synth units redundant because I can already play keys decently enough. But it's still fun nonetheless. I do think it's better here in the case of playing quasi horn-like tones Yellow Magic Orchestra style, as I'm not fond of midi brass emulation. So this comes in handy for those horn parts on my upcoming recording.

I should A/B this and the SY300 sounds some time.
