    EVH's Les Paul

Lick Library posted this earlier with the text,

A great shot of Eddie Van Halen, playing a Gibson Les Paul on stage with Van Halen in September 1980.

EVH bought the guitar along with a second 'Burst' from Norman's Rare Guitars in the late 1970s for $6500. How much do think this guitar worth be worth today?

He's got the Malcolm Young signature neck pickup going, and the switch appears to be falling out. Never seen that particular Van Halen guitar, so sort of interesting.

Is that where the PAF that was in the stripey guitar came from?

Also, dunno if the switch is falling out or if that's just a pick wedged under the poker chip.

Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

    Nah, ES-335.

He had a third one, as well. A '70s Custom in white.

The photo in the OP clearly shows that a Les Paul strapped high up looks fucking wrong

Les Pauls, Explorers and Vs must be strapped LOW to look cool

Only Superstrats looks good high up

The guy on the right looks like a spring just crunched on his nipple.
