    Before headless guitars were "cool"

My 1st guitar back in 1989 and the only headless I have owned. My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I picked out that beauty from the JCPenney catalog (when I wasn't wanking to the bra section)

    I'm a little confused here.

Have headless guitars ever been cool? "Before they were cool" would seem to imply at some point they became cool.
