When some go on guitar safari, they are on the look out for guitars and amps of the 'finer taste'. You know, vintage strat, vintage LP, Fender tweed amp blah, blah, blah.... Me though, I prefer guitars of let's say a different flavor. Usually something very shreddy, and very late 80's to anywhere in the 90's. But also very very MIJ. Oh yeah and dirt cheap. And so I just picked this one up today from a jawa junk shop of a guitar store:
Walked out with it for a cool 200 even (no case or bag) and a set of .11 gauge Ernies for free. No tax paid by me since I fixed the broken E-string in store. I'm pretty sure that's the way this thing has been since Christmas. Been eyeballing it since then and waiting like a vulture for it to drop in price. Today was the day.
Second shreddy MIJ scored for under 300 bucks since 2018 (that one was a solar yellow Ibby 470 year 2000). But this one is more share worthy story-wise just given the context. Batting one shreddy MIJ a year so far on a two year streak. Hey I know its a Charvette, but I'll take it. Feels right to me.
