    If I could have gotten a pickguard that was less white, like the binding, I actually might have kept the guitar. I LOVED the way the guitar sounded amd played, but didn't like the stock guard or any of the replacements. It is an absolutely KILLER guitar though. and generally STUPID cheap for what you get. Incredibly underated IMHO.

    Isn't there someone on here who makes custom pick guards? I thought for sure I saw a thread for that recently but a quick (re:lazy) search for it turns up zip.

    Hmm, doesn't have the effect I thought it would. Maybe putting chrome pickups in it would make it pop a bit more, or if the guard were yellow'd a bit. Thanks for posting those!

    Personally I like the pickguard, especially if you can lemon oil the neck a shade or two darker. Change out the pickup poles for nickel ones and it will look 1000x better too IMO. I've contacted DiMarzio directly before and they were very friendly and receptive to this request. Didn't cost much either.
