    This official Charvel "pickup demo".

    Questionable marketing.

It's clips like these that make me want to only own single-pickup guitars.

Every ad Ive seen for them is like that, well executed pretentious noodling over elevator music backing tracks..... which seems like a genre inverted just for youtube.

Just imagine having your "just discovered came cargo pants" and your "just discovered bebop scales" phases happening at the same time. That has to be awkward.

I'm actually jealous the world wasn't ready for it when I tried to combine them in my band "The Duke Ellingtons of Hazzard".

At the time it never took off because there was no crossover between the Duck Dynasty and Dave Brubek crowds. Amazing to see how times have changed. It just needed it's Aerosmith and Run DMC "Walk this Way" moment to convince people that camo cargo pants and bebop scale centric jazz were clearly made for eachother.

Bebop scales and camo cargo pants are two circles that don't overlap, but the missing link between the two of them is marijuana. Venn Diagram complete.

Playing in the OP is actually pretty good, it's just a shitty demo because it's supposed to highlight "expansive tones" and the guy only plays in one style, and half of it you can't hear because he's playing "baked out of his mind" quiet faux Gilmour chords. The dramatic close-up of him toggling the switch, like you couldn't believe that's what he's doing if you left it on the wide shot is also terrible and unnecessary.

He has had that same look in a few DK24 vids now. His technique isnt my gripe, he can play, Charvels making Dr. waiting room music is.
