    Based on the description of what you said you were looking for I’d also recommend Taylor’s. They play like a dream and have that nice bright ring you don’t tend to get on so many others. Lots of other choices out there in that price range though. Best bet is to play a bunch and find one that speaks to you.

    I tried out some cheaper Martin's today. Thought the 000jr-10 would take it, but the 00LX1 will probably be coming home with me. The warmth of the 000 is nice, but the 00 has the comfort with a bit more of the D style highs. I also tried a $2500 larrivee just to hear the differences. Fortunately GAS did not strike me down .

    Edit: damn HPL in the 00LX1 has me questioning my decision .
