    Before trying different gauges, it might be worth trying another brand first to see if that could be the culprit.

    Was this a gradual change or a sudden one? If it's sudden, then it's probably not the springs loosening with age--I'd be more concerned with something else going wrong with the trem system. Maybe the posts moving?

    I have to thank you guys. I never actually knew 9.5 gauge sets existed. I bought a pack of Daddario 9.5s and threw a 59 on there for the low B, and it works perfectly. I'm back to two springs and the trem feels so much better.
