So , it showed up on Tuesday.. it has been a busy week so I finally have time to post it up. A previous owner put a 57 Classic in the neck, otherwise it is stock. It's a little under 10lbs (9lbs 9oz) and I wasn't sure if it was going to have the same thick Les Paul sound the Silverburst does (which weighs 10lbs 6oz), but I was very happy it does. It's a gorgeous guitar in person.

The second pic are my 3 favorite Gibsons - '03 Silverburst LPC, '94 Wine Red LPC, and '94 SG Standard. I have 2 other 90s era SGs I will probably end up selling off, because I really just need to collect more 90's LPC's like Chris collects EBMMs.

    Sweet score. Absolutely gorgeous finish.

But, apparently life is no longer complete because you need locking tuners. #OurJoyIsFleeting..

    Fuck yeah, man!

Ya know, the only LP's I've ever played that i loved were Customs. Hoping that Adam Jones sig isn't going to be stupidly priced, I have a Christmas bonus coming up and I'm thinking it'll be going there.

    New SS frets day...

The frets on this LPC were on the low side for me. I hemmed and hawed for a bit, did a bunch of research, and ended up driving it to a guy in Massachusetts to have to nibs removed and the guitar refretted with stainless jumbos (Jescar SS 57x110). Now everyone will think its a Chibson, but I don't care - it's probably the best playing guitar I've ever had my hands on. This guy did a great job and had it done in 2 weeks. He also installed a new bone nut. A good friend who is a much better guitar player than I am loved the work he did and might send one of his guitars out to him for a refret as well. I also now understand why people rave about stainless frets. They really do feel great.

Also added last month is a Duncan JBJ from the late 80s/early 90s.

That is a clean job! I've got my LP in the shop for SST frets, as well, but it's been taking much longer than 2 weeks
