Well there are 3 types of floyds. There are the OFR which have 3 digit "100" series part numbers, they are made in Germany. Then there are the OEM only (meaning only available on a guitar not direct from floyd) FRT which have 4 digit "1000" series part numbers, they are made to the German specs but made in Korea. Then there is the FRS Floyd Rose Special. They also use a 4 digit "1000" series number but the base plate says Floyd Rose Special and they materials are typically lesser these are also made in Korea.
They are all the same baseplate size and interchangeable. Most folks hold the 1000 series as being equal to the OFR german ones.
