Duncan JB Jr, or other mini 'bucker.

Ok, I actually really dig the sound of the bridge single coil that's in there now, particularly for nasty stinging SRV-type blues licks, but I want to get something in there a bit darker and chunkier so I can actually play rhythm on the Strat.

What's everyone got? From what I've heard the JB is one of the better mini humbuckers on the market for this in that it actually sounds rather like a humbucker whereas the mini Screamin' Deamon, for instance, evidently doesn't, but if anyone's got something else, let me know.

If it matters, the guitar in question has a trem (wilkinson), an alder body, and a maple neck and fretboard.

If the JB Jr. is anything like the full-size JB, it'll split into single coil nicely as well.

Yeah, that's partly why Lee had advocated that one the last time this came up.

It really is nice. Makes my (mahogany, baritone) Ibanez AX110XL sound surprisingly Strat like.

I've only ever used it in the neck, but it is a pretty cool pickup. Really punchy, with good sustain.
