    So, pickup came in today. Took one look at it, and changed my mind about what guitar was gonna get it. The RG565 is the bassiest guitar I own, and I have a feeling the Aldrich would sound bad there. Also I have all my hardware colormatched down to the pickup poles in my guitars, and I don't relish the idea of painting the poles black on this pickup..

    I still flirt with the idea of trying this pickup again. I just found it that little bit too mellow in the highs. It's bright and clear, for sure, not a dark pickup in the slightest, but the pick attack wasn't as "in your face" as I like. By all other accounts though, fantastic pickup. Such a clean and polished tone.
