Single-coils to go with a Duncan Distortion.

    Any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards a Hot Rail in the neck and a Quarter Pounder in the middle at the moment, but any ideas are welcome. I'm aiming for more of a hot, modern sound in the neck and something a bit more traditional in the middle...

QP is pretty hot for the middle, maybe you want the SSL5 or 7 in the middle. QP neck is great but don't know if it has enough volume to match the Distortion, which is pretty firey.

I'd go JB Jr or Hot Rails in the neck and a Custom Flat(SSL-6) in the middle.

This particular guitar has on/off switches for each pickup.

Overly complicated switching = more to get in the way and more to fail.
