I sent mine back ages ago and bought an Akai sample pad instead, but I'll remember that for the future.

I wouldn't have even tried any of this crap if I hadn't run into your forum post, so thanks! This is actually ridiculously awesome. Now I'm looking for a computer to replace the ipad in my FRFR setup to run all this. I'm thinking a convertible or 2 in 1 will slide right into the holder, waiting on Jim Roseberry for some hints as to which of these will not totally suck

Hi...Can I ask - what's the USB/MIDI cable for? Did you reverse the FCB's 5-pin sockets and connect them to the hub using that socket?
I think that's right. You moved the existing 5-pin sockets and turned them round so they are inside the case, facing inwards. And the space liberated by the 5-pin sockets is occupied by the MIDI Expression.
I guess the only thing to watch for is maxing out the USB power. You'll be feeding 500mA into the FCB, which takes 90 itself, plus some for the USB/MIDI interface, plus a bit for the MIDI expression. You won't want to run anything too thirsty off the spare USB port.
