thanks ... not sure it's my cup of tea either but just wanted to try for something different. Will definitely be sitting down to do proper tracks for the upcoming weeks, but wanted to sue this one to work out DAW kinks and get used to the synths and drum programming.

Feels weird to not include guitar tracks tbh

Had the intro lick kicking around for a while, and finally decided to do something with it. There were going to be vocals, but I pussed out at the last second, hence the sparse middle section. Also, how do you write drum parts that are actually interesting without being cluttered? This was honestly the best I could do, and it took an embarrassing amount of time.

If you whipped this up in a week, but then had proper time to get it done, I could totally listen to a whole album of this stuff. Good job!

Since we'll be in a bit of a lull until the next SAW season starts, if anyone wants to post the polished up versions of their submissions, feel free to do that here. Would love to hear them.

The Song a Week Challenge may be over but I'm still rolling with it. Here's a song I wrote this week that (to me) kind of channels some Richie Sambora rhythms as well as a particular Britny Fox tune from the last album in 2003.

This thread is awesome. I should post a couple song sketch demos of mine in here.
