    For a first crack, it was pretty good, not much work, but also something I think I can easily improve - I followed this recipe, and I thought the citrus was a little too strong.

    That's pretty much what I did with them all week, though occasionally I'd also make 4-5 of 'em as a meal.

    Looks awesome! Carnitas are so goddamn good. If you're looking to experiment a little, maybe give this recipe a shot. I've had really good results with it.

    Bumping this with my beef burrito/taco mix

    1/4 yellow onion small dice
    1/2 red pepper small dice
    5-6 garlic cloves minced
    2 tsp chili powder
    tsp cayenne
    pinch old bay
    pinch salt
    pinch black pepper
    2 tbl grape seed oil

    Heat an 8-10 inch pot to medium heat and add above mix until veg is soft and thoroughly cooked

    Add 8 oz of tomato paste and tbl of ground cumin, continue on medium heat while stirring regularly for five minutes

    Add lb of ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper, kick the heat up to high and stir continually until beef is fully cooked.

    Add 12 oz re fried beans (optional but decrease spices by half if you aren't going to use), and 2 tsp of Spanish paprika. Turn heat to low and stir. Once the beans are hot you're all set to go.

    Personally I generally do burritos with a dollop of sour cream, iceberg lettuce, cilantro, and shredded cheddar cheese.

    I'd take a picture but a burrito isn't exactly exciting to look at.
