It's all good, I do it all the time.

Long zoom, like a telephoto? If so, the 55-250 (IS mk II is good, the STM version is even better) will definitely be the best bang for your buck. And they'll match your 18-55 lens nicely.

There are a couple other options, the 75-300, and the 70-300. Which makes it really confusing haha. The 70-300 is good, but more expensive and heavier. The 75-300 is total shit - just get the 55-250 instead, it's much better in every way.

If you want a wide zoom, get the new Canon 10-18mm STM. It's ridiculously wide, and it makes a nice trio with the other kit zooms (10-18, 18-55, 55-250). It's new, and the cheapest ultra wide zoom available, and it's great.

I think the Kemper and Axe are great, I really do. But I just love real tube amps, and I get the feeling we're the last generation that'll be able to enjoy them. As someone who watched 35mm photography effectively die out, I'm just a bit nostalgic.

Yeah man, I am sure the Torpedo stuff is killer, but I want the Mark V:25 too, and there's just only so much dough to be spread around for music gear.

Indeed, sir. The 1/4" line out is unfiltered, so it'll work with Torpedo plugin, Redwirez, etc. etc. That's what I'm gonna do. Options are good!

Yo man! Depending on what your budget is, 50mm hands down. I almost entirely used my 50mm for a good 9 months or more (I don't as much for jobs because it's not too versatile, but when I was just shooting for fun, it was the best lens I had and I got great photos with it). It's ridiculously cheap, has great image quality, lets you shoot in way way lower light than your 18-55, gives you way more background blur, and not having any zoom makes you learn differently.

If you're interested in shooting people, you should look into getting a starter flash kit. You can get absolutely everything you'd need for under $200 USto start doing killer portraits, and using a flash would make your 18-55 kit lens a million times more useful, because the lighting wherever you were wouldn't matter so much when you can use a flash.

I wrote more but it wouldn't let me post it haha. What are you interested in shooting? What don't you like about your current lens? What's your budget?

holy shit, didn't even realize I'd had a message. but yeah, not too sure why it would be a thing at all.. I don't contribute a whole lot to the forum; especially compared to some of the other MVP's. in fact, I've slipped back into lurking as of late..

Acrylic tubing, you can buy it from lots of places but you have to get the proper size, and it requires special compression fittings, and a home made bending kit, or you can drop some money on the monsoon kit,

    TOOLS
Acrylic Tube Tools : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

    Monsoon tubing
Monsoon Rigid Acrylic Tubing : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

Yea it might be a better option for most metal guys down the road ironically since they would never use the clean boost. Let me know if you get to try one out since they are saying they revoiced the mids that you can select.

 I'm sorry. I'm not sure if I would pick that one either due to the switching. You have to hold the switch it seems to switch it between clean or mid boost.
